In recent years the facilities available at El Altet have been greatly
improved. Full facilities are in place for cash withdrawal, post &
currency change. A multitude of options are available in the way of
cafes & restaurants, with an equally good selection of shops to
lighten you of your leftover euros.

Disabled Facilities
|

Both
the main car park & the drop off point have areas designated for
disabled passengers. The Airport terminal itself is fully equipped with
ramps & disabled toilets. Wheelchairs are available on request.

Theme Park Terra Mitica Has Wheelchair Access
|
|
The theme park Terra Mítica, situated in
the town of Benidorm in Alicante, offers the visitor a magical trip
through the cultures of the Mediterranean.
|
|
The park is divided into five areas, inspired
by the five civilisations of the Mediterranean: Egypt, Greece, Rome,
Iberia and the Islands a stroll through the port of Alexandria in the
era of Cleopatra or a visit to the Olympic Games are some of the
options that the different thematic areas offer, finding spectacular
attractions like "The Rescue of Ulysses"or the gigantic
rollercoaster "Magnus Colossus" along the way.
Meanwhile some 300 actors and specialists
entertain the public with more than 20 live shows. Within the park
there is a rich selection of cafeterias, bars and restaurants with a
great diversity of cuisines.

Getting there
BY PLANE: The airport of El Altet, in Alicante, is only 55 Km. away and
that of Manises, in Valencia, only 140 Km.away.
BY TRAIN: Terra Mítica has its own stop very near the park on the F.G.V
line that joins Alicante and Denia. The nearest RENFE station is in
Alicante.
BY CAR: The park can be reached from the N-330, N-332, N-340, Autopista
A-7, which has a direct exit to Terra Mítica (65-A).

Access for Wheelchair user's should
present no problems in the "Sea Life Centre". But the dolphins are the real stars of the show. Several shows every day of the week.

have recently opened a wheelchair friendly cyber café in calpe,
another will open in Jalon in the near future, it is non smoking, very
high tech, and serves a good range of snacks and drinks. there is also
a Christian fellowship bookshop attached which is the only one of its
kind for many miles!

Benidorm

BENIDORM is by far the most popular
destination for brits visiting the costa blanca. the two beaches in
Benidorm are levante and pontiente and both stretch for miles being
served by many a hotel and restaurant. Disabled facilities in Benidorm
are by far the best and most extensive, there his hardly anything you
will be unable to do due to Benidorms extensive facilities. there is a
service on Levante beach that transports you into the sea if you want
to go for a swim and are unable to walk out on your own, this service
is on offer between 1000 and 1400 most days and is free of charge.
benidorm old town offers you a glimpse of the past with its narrow
streets and many old traditional Spanish shops it is a must for the
culture vultures and can best be appreciated at night when it really
comes alive! wheelchair access is 90% to most facilities including
sidewalks, pubs, hotels, shops, promenades and many more facilities.
quite simply Benidorm is a mecca for disabled/infirm holiday makers
because of the widespead facilities it offers!
